SPACE, SHIPS & MONSTERS

"This will begin to make things right"

That is the first line spoken in "The Force Awakens " it left me thinking .......

"The whole idea of visual storytelling was at the right moment, what i wanted to do was to make films that people like, Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorcese ...we like movies."

-George Lucas

YOU CAN PUSH PLAY TO LISTEN TO THE SOUNDTRACK

First and foremost Star Wars exists because of George Lucas imagination, and all the cast and crew that created what is now a whole UNIVERSE OF LOVED CHARACTERS. It is "easy" to stand on the shoulders of great ones AND CRITICIZE, but is it that easy to do a good, an entertaining Star Wars movie. After three prequels which i have to say i saw them  only once on the movie theatre. I left the cinema dissapointed. That wasn´t the Star Wars i wanted to see. That was almost like the fairy tale (poorly told) by the creator of the saga. Now thirty years later, George Lucas sold for 4 billion dollars LUCASFILMS and the head of this company Kathleen Kennedy wanted to restart the franchise, the saga of the STAR WARS films. He had already the old cast signed on to the project. She needed a director...............who better than JJ ABRAMS.

After several meetings, Kennedy convinced JJ to take on the BIGGEST SEQUEL ever! EPISODE VII. No easy task for even the most experienced director. JJ needed the best to work with him. He wanted Lawrence Kasdan to write the script.

On April 29 2014 , this picture was taken on Pinewood STUDIOS in London, announcing the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.

Several of the newcomer actors got a phone call hours before, that they were selected to be in the next chapter of the STAR WARS UNIVERSE.

With a 200 million dollar budget, filming began in April 2014 in Abu Dhabi and Iceland, with principal photography also taking place in Ireland and Pinewood Studios in England.

So far, I´ve seen 5 times "The Force Awakens"in the  movie theatre because to me is very entertaining and captures the essence of what made those stories so powerful. The darkness of the movie theatre, the smell of popcorn, the unknown story, the sounds, this movie for me was an experience. I REALLY LIKED IT.

Before "The Empire Strikes Back" was my favorite, "Return of the Jedi" had that place of honor, i saw it in a big screen being just 5 or 6 and i was amazed of the action, the monsters and all the special effects. My GENERATION was privileged. We had to wait 3 years to know what had happened to LUKE SKYWALKER and HAN SOLO.

When asked what were his thoughts on taking on such a big project he said "Who wouldn´t want to do THIS FILM?"

I think what JJ Abrams has acomplished goes further than numbers, blockbuster-breaking records or earnings. He has done what many feared.

He made an entertaining STAR WARS movie, not just the continuation of RETURN OF THE JEDI. He did what seemed impossible.

He made fans and NON fans go and see his movie 2, 3 or 4 times. That is the mount everest of film making. Not the Oscars or any kind of award. It is people liking what you are giving them. The best compliment for any cook is asking for seconds.

I really think there were 4 ingredients that made the difference:

1)KEY PLAYERS: UKNOWN actors, practical effects & pace

It can´t be called an original it is the seventh film in the saga, so it borrows from each and every prior Star Wars film. Wether it´s an enviroment or a plot twist. Its all star wars.

(UP) Daisy Ridley "REY", John Boyega "FINN" , Adam Driver "KYLO REN" , Oscar Isaac  "POE DAMERON"

(DOWN) Gwendoline "CAPTAIN PHASMA "Christie and Domhnall Gleeson "GRAL. HUX"
are the new fresh faces of this generation of STAR WARS heroes and villains.

Creature shop  HEAD designer  Neal Scanlan was the main supervisor on "the FORCE AWAKENS". All of the creatures are real, done with make up or prosthetics, on camera they  feel real. They interact with other actors and they are standing right there.

Pace is everything. An editor establishes pace through his or her selection of static and moving shots, as well as the length and placement of those shots,
keeping us entertained and not boared for 2 hours is no easy task.

The more times i see "The Force Awakens" the faster it gets. Excellent storytelling, awesome editing, quick cuts, there is no fluff, the soundtrack is fast an eager to get to the next scene. The action doesn´t stop.

2)THE STORY is a MUST
JJ Abrams decided to ask Lawrence Kasdan for help on telling this story....what happened after the events on RETURN OF THE JEDI....

Kasdan co-wrote Empire Strikes Back and RETURN of the Jedi. His screen writing style is felt as the force. In the prequels, LUCAS became forced to stash everything quickly and not logically. This time around JJ and KASDAN took their time with the story they wanted to tell having one simple rule:

" it has to delight us."
-Lawrence Kasdan

3)THE MUSIC and Sounds of a glaxy far, far away

John Williams contribution is always something to look forward. He brings life to outer space. He is the narrative key and glue of all the story. It makes you feel excited, doubtful or afraid even.

"It's all a continuation of an initial set of ideas. It's a bit like adding paragraphs to a letter that’s been going on for a number of years. Starting with a completely new film, a story that I don't know, characters that I haven't met, my whole approach to writing music is completely different—trying to find an identity, trying to find melodic identifications if that’s needed for the characters, and so on."
—John Williams
on returning to the Star Warsuniverse

The sounds, from tie fighters to Xwings, from speed of light to the monsters growls. Every little detail is carefully prepared so that it will be a full audio - visual experience. BLASTERS, STORMTROOPERS marching, An evil voice and the power of the force.

But i have to say one of the key elements in the STAR WARS mythology is present here. THE SOUND OF THE LIGHTSABER. They brought back the importance of fighting with a lightsaber. I think it feels more natural and real if the fighting with lightsabers is  a conversation rather than choreographed quick movements.

Wow!!!!! it brings chills to my skin .
Hearing a lightsaber being lit in a movie theater is such a pressence and a classic movie moment.

4)
Knowing how to KEEP SECRETS

After some leaks from the production of Star Wars: Episode 7 a poster was spotted at Pinewood  STUDIOS jokingly warning workers and visitors not to let slip any of the film's many sought-after secrets.

One of the main concerns  of the production was keeping everything in TOTAL secrecy.

Any visitor had to sign a NO DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT.

In todays MODERN world with FACEBOOK, TWITTER, everything on the internet is shared in a matter of seconds, from BOSTON to BUDAPEST. My opinion , the production made an excellent job in keeping everything secret. I went to the film after watching the TEASERS, the trailers and reading spoiler posts in several websites. No one got it right. I was trully surprised watching for the first time the film. And that is an ESENTTIAL PART of the experience. NEVER SPOIL.

No pictures were taken, No  screenplays were lended or taken home. No copies could be made. Even the script was colored RED so it would be impossible to photocopy.

Even the release of books, the soundtrack, any merchandise or toys was delayed, so plot points were not discovered OR SPOILED.

I think the best thing of this film is , it made us imagine, dream and speculate AGAIN. YOU MUST
wait for the surprises and after you´ve seen it  everyone left the cinema talking to each other, what they thought ,their theories, and almost every one wants to see it again.

I think you have to see it , even if you are not a fan. You should see it to have a reference point of view. I´ve heard many opinions. Some like it ,others don´t. A lot of people are happy Star Wars is back ,others hate the fact that Star Wars is everywhere.

I love the fact that thanks to the STAR WARS films i was able as a little kid, to imagine i was Luke Skywalker with the force and my green lightsaber i could do anything and win over any villain.

Now 30 plus years later i am happy i can enjoy this movies, the toys and appreciate as an adult the value of the professional work that took to make this film.

"They looked at the stories, and they said, 'We want to make something for the fans'....They decided they didn't want to use those stories, they decided they were going to do their own thing....
They weren't that keen to have me involved anyway — but if I get in there, I'm just going to cause trouble, because they're not going to do what I want them to do. And I don't have the control to do that anymore, and all I would do is muck everything up. And so I said, 'Okay, I will go my way, and I'll let them go their way.'"
-George Lucas

I don´t know about you but after watching "The Force Awakens" i  wanted MORE. I was left wondering everything. WHAT A BRILLIANT ENDING. I think that is one of the reasons STAR WARS MOVIES are so loved. They keep us interested.

Director Rian Johnson confirmed in August 2014 that he would direct Episode VIII, principal photography begins in January 2016, It is scheduled for release on May 26, 2017. All we can do is wait.

Story within a STORY

What´s the best story you´ve ever heard inside a movie?

Its amazing how much a movie can give us, images , advise, a moment of peace, make our hands sweat, feeling afraid or uncertain. One of the many things movies give us is the ability of transporting ourselves to another place by story telling. I really enjoy a good movie well told. Let me say that again. A good movie, well told. A movie can say many things or it can make us think. The way it is told is everything. To me one of the best resources a movie has within itself, aside the acting, make up, visual effects, audio mixing or a good supporting cast is the story within a story.

Have you ever noticed some of our favorite movies have to tell us stories to lay the ground , so that we believe the story is deep. The characters can´t be complete without the depth of a well told story.

It seems as if "once upon a time " is not enough.

Sometimes characters need to tell us a story that they heard once .... from some one.......

Pulp Fiction (1994)
Story by
Quentin Tarantino and
Roger Avary

"But Wanaki kept his word"
-Captn. Koons

It is said that Cristopher Walken filmed this scene in just a few hours, probably the best cameo in all Pulp Fiction, because of its precission to the story. it is simply the glue that unites the first part of the movie with the second part. I can´t understand why it wasn´t an OSCAR NOMINATION for WALKEN. Director Quentin Tarantino loves movies, actors and most of all , actors singing his written dialogue. If you watch closely, in several of Tarantino´s films,  you can tell where and when the actors are speaking as Tarantino does. All by himself Walken delivers a POWERFUL speech, so moving and so gripping. It is a 4 minute non-stop monologue with a close up of him and his face and a golden watch. It makes Butch´s character and back story real and  gives him  the "motive" to go back for the watch to meet his ultimate fate. CONFRONTING Marsellus AND riding into the sunset with GRACE. Quentin Tarantino´s best film yet is by far the standard he made us look up to him . (TRIVIA FACT : The white Honda Civic Butch is driving when he RUNS down Marcellus is the same car Jackie Brown drives.)

"The single-weirdest fucking day of my life"

-Butch

The Usual Suspects (1995)
Story : Christopher McQuarrie
Who is Kyser Soze??
-Verbal Kint

Director Bryan Singer´s first film is a CRIMINAL MASTERPIECE, Kevin Spacey met Bryan Singer at the 1993 Sundance Film Festival and was so impressed with his movie Public Access that he asked to be cast in his next film.

As Verbal Kint is questioned by Agent Kujan about the events of yesterday evening he tells the story he heard . With the use of a powerful flash back, having an almost blinding light and blurry scenes,as if it were a memory ... and ending with a powerful scene of Soze showing "what will really was" as he walks away from an explosion, an elegant and darkest of evil men with the longest hair ever. He is the DEVIL. (TRIVIA FACT : It's the second film where actor Peter Greene has referred to "the gimp" after his role in Pulp Fiction ("Bring out the gimp"). In The Usual Suspects he refers to Kit as "the gimp". and Kevin Spacey claimed that Bryan Singer managed to convince all of the major actors that they were Keyser Soze. At the first screening, an angry Gabriel Byrne stormed off when he realize the truth.)

"I believe in GOD and the only thing that scares me is KYSER SOZE"
Kevin Spacey as Verbal Kint

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
Based on The Hobbit
by J. R. R. Tolkien

"Ah...FRODO ...EREBOR"
-Ian Holm, AS Bilbo Baggins

I´m probably one of the few people in the world that really love this film. Ian Holm´s performance as Bilbo was an astounding presence on the original trilogy. But having this 3 film come out of one of Tolkien´s shortest books. No one liked it, I on the other hand found it amazing, i followed the production blog for months on updates, because they always talked about behind the scenes stuff i really like. And when the dvd came out i had to have it. Most of it because of the extras. But i love the way it was told. It is a story very close to me.

The craft behind telling  a good  story ....of the dwarves of erebor, the way they crave gems and gold. And how they were doomed to exhile because of a DRAGON which we do not see (TRIVIA FACT: We can´t see the full SMAUG because production hadn´t decided the full look of the DRAGON). It is told as a bed time story. The Arkenstone i thought would be a more strong presence in all the story. Apparently Director Peter Jackson didn´t agree with that. But if you can watch this scene several times, the way it sounds, the way the audio plays such an important part of telling the story. The fire, the wind, the way it is almost whipsered to our ears and into our immagination. It is a story so well told it becomes music every time you rewatch it.

"...and where sickness thrives, bad things will follow..."
-Bilbo Baggins

Gremlins (1984)
Story : Chris Columbus

"Let me introduce myself, Peltzer is the name Rand Peltzer, and i have a story to tell....."

-Hoyt Axton as Randall "Rand" Peltzer

In Director Joe Dante´s monster masterpiece Gremlins, a man wants to buy his son a really unique christmas gift (TRIVIA FACT: Gremlins Town is Hill Valley from Back to the Future) But he soon learns by the store owner. Mr. Wing " I´M SORRY ..MOGWAI NOT FOR SALE". In Cantonese Chinese, mogwai means devil, demon or gremlin. The Mandarin pronunciation is mogui.

But not from his grandson who knows they need the money and sells GIZMO for 200 dollars. Not before a WARNING that all of us remember to this day.

THE THREE RULES:

1.-Don´t give them water.
2.-Don´t expose them to SUN light.
3.-Never feed them AFTER midnight.

Star Wars : A New Hope (1977)
Story by George Lucas

"Before the dark times, before the EMPIRE!"
-Alec Guiness as Obi Wan Kenobi

Director George Lucas considered casting Japanese actor Toshirô Mifune for the role of OBI WAN KENOBI, but he went for a veteran -seasoned -theatre-classic actor named Sir Alec Guiness to portray the most important Father Figure young Luke Skywalker would ever have.

While Guinness made no secret that he disliked the dialogue in George Lucas' script, he claimed that he accepted the role for two reasons: He was an admirer of Lucas' previous film American Graffiti and The narrative compelled him to read the whole script through to the end, in spite of not liking the dialogue and not being a fan of science fiction.

A TRUE actor who would bring experience and a veracity to this sci-fi space opera. An old JEDI KNIGHT, Obi Wan Kenobi or as Luke calls him "Old Ben" Kenobi delivers a remembrance speech about the old days, NO PREQUEL could ever ASPIRE. He says in very few words, what happened to the galaxy after the JEDI went "all but extinct" thanks to a young Darth Vader. Setting all the back story we ever needed. (TRIVIA FACT This is the only "Star Wars" movie to be nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award, and the first ever science fiction film to be nominated for Best Picture. And have you ever noticed that Princess Leia and Obi-Wan Kenobi never actually meet within this film. The closest they get to meeting in this film is when she sees him from a distance during the lightsaber duel.)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010)
Based on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
by J. K. Rowling

As Harry, Hermione and Ron are talking with Luna´s father ( Xenophilius Lovegood )to learn about a symbol seen several times on their journey, he tells them that the symbol represents the Deathly Hallows:

the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Cloak of Invisibility. It´s worth watching it over and over again. Because of the importance to the story, the beautiful animation and the perfect narration of
actress Emma Watson.   ( TRIVIA FACT: The unnamed characters in the Deathly Hallows story each have a parallel character in the film. The three brothers each receive a gift from Death. Voldemort, like the first brother, seeks the wand that will win any duel. Voldemort ultimately ends up seeking the same Elder Wand spoken of in the story. Another brother wants the Resurrection Stone to bring back to life a woman he loved. Snape loved Lily Potter, and seeks through the series to redeem himself for having caused her death. The third brother seeks only to hide from death with the Invisibility Cloak, which he ultimately gives up to accept his own mortality, and he and Death meet as old friends. Harry inherits an invisibility cloak from his father, but ultimately gives himself up to be killed voluntarily. At the crossroads between life and death, Harry meets Dumbledore, who is certainly an old friend. Dumbledore himself, like Death, has at one point been in possession of all three hallows. Xenophilius Lovegood speculates that the three brothers in the story were actually, or at least based on, the three Peverell brothers. In the book, both Harry and Voldemort are revealed to be descended from two of the brothers. Harry's Invisibility Cloak is in fact the very one spoken of in the tale, and the Resurrection Stone is set inside a ring which is a family heirloom, which Voldemort took after killing his uncle.)

The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
STORY by Thomas Harris

Why did you leave that ranch?
-Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter

As Dr. Hannibal Lecter lures Clarice to tell him things or let him inside her mind. She finds out there is no price to privacy. Lecter is a master manipulator begging for few details so he can make his twisted metaphors as he is hurting you. As he asks in a perfectly polite manner he recites what he knows about her. Because she told him first. Quid Pro quo (an exchange of goods) TRIVIA FACT: The Silence of the Lambs remains one of only three films to win the Big 5 at the Oscars (Best Film, Director, Screenplay, Actor and Actress). The other two are One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest and It Happened One Night.

"Lambs... they were screaming "
Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling

What better way to call a horror movie than the story inside that story. That is why Hannibal "thanks" Clarice as she has confied in him as a pacient seeing a psychologist. Director Johnathan Demme achieved movie greatness when he pulled away everything and left close ups be the telling tale of the young FBI trainee, A SERIAL KILLER and the caged CANNIBAL.

Additional scenes were planned to be shot over Clarice unfolding of the origins behind the screaming lambs, which would see a younger Clarice stealing the lambs.

However, Jonathan Demme was so impressed with the acting by Foster and Hopkins in that scene that he decided to abandon the shoot, the emotions they convey on their faces are so strong that to cut them short would have been a crime of cinema.

It is very rare to recognize who made what in a film. But if  you become aware of the opening credits you will find who produced, who edited, who wrote the film etc. Each and everyone of this individuals has left an impression on us. Positive or Negative but without the sum of all this talents the movie would be quite different. There is no magic potion or secret recipe for success or cultural phenmona, there is only the hopes of many hard working people who stamp their name , craft and talents to make this whole story come to life and into our senses.

Story telling is one of our oldest traditions as mankind. The way it has evolved from painting to film to television, to the internet. We see every day stories, we tell every day stories. There is always a story within a story.

No women, no KIDS

if you wish to listen to the soundtrack just push play

Luc Besson got the idea of doing this movie while working on his previous movie,La Femme Nikita (1990). In that film's third act, Victor the Cleaner (Jean Reno) appears to deal with the aftermath of Nikita's botched mission. Realizing the potential of the character was underused in that movie, Besson decided to create a story that focused on the activities of such a character. Both Victor and Leon appear dressed in a long wool coat, sunglasses and a knit cap. The film's working title was "The Cleaner".

With a 16  million dollar budget, the original title of this film was : LEÓN , in 1994 French Director Luc Besson had in mind the story of LEON a professional hired killer from a mafioso named Tony (Danny Aiello).

What Besson didn´t envisioned was the cult phenomena it will become. One of RECENT CINEMA most unique love stories.

SPOILER ALERT: If you haven´t seen The Professional,
PLEASE
STOP reading and go see it and then come back.

Storyline
"After her father and little brother are killed by her father's employers, the 12-year-old daughter of an abject drug dealer is forced to take refuge in the house of a professional murderer who by her request, teaches her the methods of his job so she can take her revenge from the corrupted DEA agent who ruined her life by killing her brother out of no actual reason".-IMDB

The Performers:
This movie is a master class on acting. From rage to tears, from anger to schizophrenia. This three performers made not only a unique film, but each performance make every scene richer. They share scenes together but are never on the same scene together all three.

3players:

1.- LEÓN ( Jean Reno)

We don´t know who he is, we know he is a killer, he hides in shadows. He is quiet and methodical. He is a professional.

He never sleeps, he never takes his glasses off and he loves milk. In a normal world León and Mathilda would never meet. They are opposite characters completely.

Only when Mathilda arrives to his doorstep his life changes and will never be the same. From that moment he has ONE ATTACHMENT to a loved one.

Thru the development of the film we watch as this killer, becomes a better person, who can sleep, who can close his eyes for a moment, who can go to the movies and enjoy a  film. Who can now laugh at others and at himself.
He is now an example to Mathilda. That is why he sees himself on her. As a two way mirror. The way she wants revenge, he can only protect her by teaching her how to be a killer on this crazy world.

Leon makes every effort not to love Mathilda, staying away, but he knows how to be lonely and by himself. He enjoys her company and the way he feels about himself when she is around. He will never leave her alone, afraid and scared. As his first memory of her is just like that , Mathilda suffering and crying.

He will protect her against everything. Just as he teaches her to be nice to plants, to buy only milk, to do excercise, to breath, to stay alert, how to knock on doors and his most powerful RULE in his asassin BOOK:
NO WOMEN , NO KIDS.

2.- Mathilda Lando ( Natalie Portman)

She is loud and fights with her siblings all the time.

She secretly smokes cigarretes and loves watching tv.

After watching her whole family murdered she finds shelter with LEÓN. She walks towards his appartment carrying groceries and hoping he opens the door.

She decides to hire LEÓN to avenge her family. So she decides to be with him and learn from him. All his tactics, routines and most importantly how to be a killer.

This is Natalie Portman´s first movie appearence. And to all honesty one of her finest performances. Even her parents were against her character smoking. So they decided to just allow 5 scenes where she is seen with a cigarrette( never smoking or inhaling). But also the character of Mathilda should decide to quit smoking in the course of the film.
As Léon trains Mathilda and shows her how to use various weapons. In return, she runs his errands, cleans his apartment, and teaches him how to read. Mathilda tells Léon she loves him several times, but he offers no response.  Proving mature beyond her years, Portman´s performance  IS a force onscreen.

3.- Norman Stansfield (Gary Oldman)

A psychotic drug-addict with a badge, who wants to tie up loose ends.

Mathilda's father (Michael Badalucco) attracts the ire of corrupt DEA agents, who have been paying him to stashcocaine in his apartment. After they discover he has been cutting the cocaine to keep some for himself, DEA agents storm the building, led by sharply dressed drug addict Stansfield. During the raid, Stansfield quickly becomes unhinged and murders Mathilda's entire family one by one while Mathilda is out shopping. When Mathilda returns, she realizes what has happened just in time to continue down the hall, where she desperately knocks on her neighbour's door.

If you watch closely you can see Stansfield is never seen wearing anything besides his trademark beige suit and white shirt. One of the greatest movie VILLAINS of all time. He knows no remorse and has no consideration for anyone.

A PLANT , MILK & some GLASSES

As plants grow with the right care , sun light and water, so does a movie character during the course of the film.  They develop and become timeless. A character during a movie has to grow. He or she  develop a taste for certain things. His or her TRADE MARKS. The little things that make him or her UNIQUE. Like a toy or action figure.

Creating a character is almost as creating a costume or a desguise.

If you are going to a halloween party you need a costume. Most people tend to use popular movie characters. This is a game they EVEN play in the movie, as dress up such as Mathilda dresses as  Marilyn Monroe and LEÓN as  John Wayne.

TRIVIA FACTS:

Keith A. Glascoe, who played the enormous Benny, or 3rd Stansfield Man, later became a member of the New York Fire Department, Ladder Company 21 in Hells Kitchen. Courageously he died in the collapse of the World Trade Center towers on Sept. 11, 2001.

According to Luc Besson's first script-draft, Léon's full name is Leone Montana.

According the films producer, Patrice Ledoux, Luc Besson planned Léon as filler( meanwhile movie). At the time, he had already started working on The Fifth Element (1997), but production was delayed due to Bruce Willis's schedule. Rather than dismiss the production team and lose his creative momentum, Besson wrote Léon. It took him only 30 days to write the script, and the shoot lasted only 90 days. Ironically, Léon is now generally considered to be a far superior film to The Fifth Element.

Mathilda checks herself and Léon in under the name "MacGuffin". "MacGuffin" is a movie term coined by Alfred Hitchcock for a trivial element in a movie which serves no other purpose than to drive the plot forwards.

The potted plant Léon nurtures, and which Mathilda replants at the end of the movie, is an aglaonema, pronounced "ag-leon-ema".

The code that Leon gives Matilda to knock on the door when she returns from getting more milk is two knocks, then one, then two knocks again. 212 is the telephone area code for Manhattan, which is where the story takes place.

Both Mathilda and Danny refer to Leon as a "cleaner". The front window of the bodega in Leon's apartment building prominently displays various cleaning products such as Brillo pads, bleach, Ajax, and soap.

URBAN LEGEND

During the filming involving all of the police cars on the street, a man ran from a store he had just robbed. When he encountered the movie set by accident, he saw all of the "police" and gave himself up to a bunch of uniformed extras.

As i close this post, i wish you to see a video of the song "SHAPE OF MY HEART" song by Sting.

Watch the images, it is a violent movie, but a beautiful one. The acting, the symmetry, the cinematography, the camera movements, the memorable quotes, the memorable scenes. It is a MODERN DAY CLASSIC. You should watch it again and again. It is a story of revenge. A story of characters. A story of humans being.

The most important quality movies have, at least good movies i think, is they don´t need dialogue for you to understand the emotion on the scenes. A Timeless TALE.
